In 2020, we served a little over 50 Blessing Bags and turkeys to needy families. In 2021, we blessed over 200 families with Butterball Turkeys and bags, purses, and backpacks filled with toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, shampoo, canned goods, and other basic needs items. Cars and walk-ups wrapped around the block! In 2022, We continued the tradition of giving over 200 families Butterball Turkeys and bags filled with toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, and more. Last Year, we blessed families with Gift Cards and groceries. Our goal for 2024 is to give out grocery gift cards along with our Blessings BAGS to a min of 200 families. It is not too late to give this season. Thank you in advance.

“The need continues to grow, along with the number of people joining the campaign and sending a message of caring and hope to families in need.”
The gift of a purse or backpack—and seeing the care and thoughtfulness that filled it with necessities that many of us take for granted—can help boost the confidence of a family at a shelter working to rebuild their lives.
While the purses and backpacks are filled with practical items, from tissues to tampons, and the usual essentials, from lip balm and gum to gift cards and hair clips, shelter employees say the heartfelt personal note many donors also include is particularly appreciated.
